Your Oliver Reed-loving pals are BACK on a brand new episode of FURTHER REEDING and we’re checking out the filmed-in-Denmark 1972 science fiction oddity Z.P.G., where Reed and Geraldine Chaplin play a couple in a dystopian near-future where childbirth has been outlawed. Instead people cling onto weird child-like automatons while slowing losing their minds and eating steak-flavored paste. That’s good eating! When Chaplin’s Carol decides she wants to have a baby anyway things get.. pretty goofy, especially when the neighbors discover the couple’s not-very-well-hidden secret. It’s strange! Check it out!

Santiago’s Mad Max-“inspired”, giant gun classic EQUALIZER 2000 starring Richard Norton (/w frosted tips), Corinne Wahl and a VERY young Robert Patrick in only his second ever role! There’s lots of gunfire, explosions and – blissfully – almost no plot to be concerned with, and it delivers the promise of a very big gun that mows down tons of faceless bad guys. HOORAY. Phillip Hammer (John Stockwell) and Marlowe Chandler (Michael Dudikoff) are a couple of goofs who find themselves wandering a strange new post-apocalyptic world after spending 15 years in a bomb shelter in Albert Pyun’s wild, new wave-y action comedy RADIOACTIVE DREAMS!  Featuring a pounding soundtrack, lizard people, swearing kids, and – of course – the great George Kennedy, it’s our main topic on this episode of George Kennedy is my Copilot which also features digressions on what celebs we might be friends with, Sinex nasal spray, the untimely death of Gilbert Gottfried and SO MUCH MORE.
